A truck ran into a Christmas market Monday evening in a major public square in Berlin, injuring at least 9 multiple people, police said.

A police spokesman described it as a “severe incident.”
Witness Emma Rushton tweeted: “People crushed. I am safe. I am safe.”

The incident happened in Breitscheidplatz Square in a west area of Berlin.

German police at the scene have indicated the incident is likely to be a terror attack.

The Muslim terrorist sped the vehicle through a crowd of shoppers at the Christmas market on Breitscheidplatz Square near the Kurfuerstendamm avenue in west Berlin.

According to initial reports the driver terrorist has not been apprehended yet, and police have now launched a manhunt.
